At the back of the People`s Palace is the massive Winter Gardens, a large steel and glass structure whose shape is said to be that of the upturned hull of the Victory, Lord Nelson`s flagship. This conservatory has marvellous displays of plants which provide pleasant scenery for the museum`s cafeteria which is located here.
